My mom discovered the recipe for Kentucky Butter Cake and now it's my go-to birthday cake. It contains a remarkable 1 1/3 cup of butter so I bake it only when there is company to share it. It's easy to prepare, but it gets rave reviews every time. This year, I baked it for the Friendly Feast potluck at church. In years past, I've avoided people around the time of Gretchen's birthday, but this year I made it a point to ask my friends to celebrate her memory.
My husband and I are headed out for items #23 and #33. I'll edit this post to include the recipe when I have a moment.
